Amira Ranney • PT, MS - Director and Owner of Mountain Physical Therapy Services

Clinical Interests: Amira’s main areas of focus are on evaluation and treatment of spinal problems, craniomandibular and temperomandibular dysfunction, movement analysis and retraining, and exercise prescription for osteoporosis.

Amira’s passion for physical therapy led her to establish Mountain Physical Therapy Services in 1992. She received her Physical Therapy degree from The Ohio State University in 1982 and her Master’s in Exercise and Sports Sciences in 1987 from Ithaca College. Prior to opening Mountain PT Amira had been involved in teaching in the Physical Therapy program at Ithaca College and working in various outpatient settings. She moved to Asheville in 1989. Amira has taken extensive continuing education and specialization training in the above areas. She is actively involved in her profession in promoting private practice and quality care. She is an active member of The American Physical Therapy Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.

Personal Interests: Amira enjoys spending time with family, anything outdoors, exercise and traveling.
