G. Shawn Babcock • PT, Cert MDT

Clinical Interests: Shawn’s main interest and education is in treating the spine although he also likes and is proficient in treating extremities. He enjoys the challenge of diagnosing musculo-skeletal dysfunction and finds educating patients and leading them through recovery especially rewarding.

Shawn graduated from the University of South Alabama in 1997 with a bachelors degree in physical therapy.  He has worked in orthopedics throughout his 13 years in therapy treating many injuries from acute to chronic conditions and whiplash to ankle sprains.  After experiencing sciatica personally, Shawn began specializing in treatment of the spine in 2002 which lead him to become a Certified McKenzie practitioner by the end of 2004.  He has furthered his specialty with courses that include Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the extremities.

Personal Interests: In his free time, Shawn enjoys time with his family near and far.  Outdoors, he prefers mountain biking followed by snow skiing at a close second.
