Michael Abbas • PTA
Clinical Interests: Michael’s main focus is integrating exercises in a patient’s plan to help them achieve greater levels of recovery. Michael enjoys interacting with his patients, especially the process of helping them learn effective tools to reduce pain and increase their wellness and function, always with a genuine word of encouragement.
Michael began working at Mountain Physical Therapy in June 2009, after graduating from South College of Asheville’s Physical Therapist Assistant program. Previously he has been a licensed massage therapist in North Carolina, and a youth educator. His undergraduate degree in biology from Iowa State University, 1993, has served him well in his new chosen field.
Personal Interests: Michael enjoys hiking, camping, playing guitar, and singing with friends.
